Stop norton from quarantining a file downloaded

File: ProsimMCP. This file is part of a flight simulator cockpit instruments control program. Every time I run this. I reinstall it and the same thing happens every time. Even though it then allowed the program to start it still removed it from the directory and some functions of the program wouldn't work.

How to report false positives. Jerrymc3 Go into your Norton settings under antivirus. To the right click the word Configure which should be in blue lettering. Select either folders or file and add. Reboot your machine and try removing the file from quarantine by restoring it. Run your program.

Please post here your results if you would be so kind. I believe that fixed the problem. I'm now able to start the program without it disappearing from the folder. However, I'm having issues with another program that works in conjunction with that program and I will have to get that fixed to know for sure.

Thanks for your help. JerryMC3 You are most welcome. I will label this as solved. If you have further need for assistance please post back on the forums. We all are glad to assist.

Have a grand weekend. But Norton will tell you a lot more than statuses, and it gives you access to a number of tools besides an antivirus program. However, most people will not think about the viruses and threats that were found on the computer once they have been taken care of. Luckily Norton will list these items for you to view in case you ever decide to see what threats have been found on your computer. Step 1: Double-click the small Norton icon at the bottom-right corner of your screen.

If the icon is not visible, you may have to click the upward facing arrow first to display the rest of the items in the system tray. Step 4: Click the drop-down menu to the right of Show at the top of the window, then choose the Quarantine option. The screen will now show all of the items in quarantine by Norton on your computer.
